Nodling Dragon’s site is well worth the read if you have any interest in making an Ultima remake, as it contains numerous technical documents on the format of Ultima game files.

These are a pair of patches that Nodling released because Ultima 6’s MT-32 driver does not correctly output music on faster systems. The MPU patch works with the standard MIDI interface on most systems. The SoundBlaster patch actually adds compatibility with SoundBlaster, which had previously not been supported.
