Forum user Saxon1974 alerted me to the existence of the two MP3s linked from this forum thread, which feature an interview that Ultima creator Richard Garriott gave during the production of my personal favourite entry in the series, Ultima 6.

It’s not really the sort of thing that would merit a standalone entry here at Aiera, but I’ve uploaded the mp3s to the site and present them here for your listening pleasure, good reader.

An ambitious attempt to port Ultima 3 to Windows. Headed by Render Dragon, this port will (when complete) incorporate high-resolution tilesets, variable resolution modes, and possibly mp3 audio.

The project’s initial aim is to create a raw port of Ultima 3. Following that, Render and his team hope to implement the multiple resolutions, high-res graphics, and in-game documentation. The final project stage is the development of some form of isometric engine, to bring Ultima 3 to us in a never-before-seen way!
