* [drain file 35 url Client 0.2.3] ([drain file 35 size])
While development on this project appears to have halted, it is a Sourceforge project so all the code should still be online. What Blackrock was supposed to be, and may one day be, was an online client for Ultima 7, much as Galleon Dragon has created for Ultima 6.
Currently, Razimus is trying to assemble a team with which to resurrect this project.

This interesting collection of Ultima remakes offered a fully implemented engine for Akalabeth, and a partial engine for Ultima 1 as well. The current beta version is 0.1.2, and is hosted here for download. Akalabeth is fully playable now in UCR.
Featuring enhanced graphics and offering full compatibility with modern operating systems, this ambitious project aimed to re-create the first two Ultima trilogies, but has since disappeared from sight.

Eriadain was a module for BioWare’s Neverwinter Nights that is based on the original storyline of Ultima 9: Ascension. This original storyline, also known as the Bob White Plot, was a much larger, more detailed plot that remained much more true to the Ultima tradition and the history of the series.
Moa Dragon has built a sizeable portion of the necessary map for this project, including much of the overworld and all of the dungeons. He has also implemented many of the scripts, although many of these are untested. Dialogues are incomplete and marked with placeholder conversations for the most part. The released module above should not be considered a demo for these reasons.
Sadly, Moa Dragon stopped working on Eriadain some time ago. However, he very enthusiastically shared the sum total of his completed work with Aiera in the hopes that someone might wish to pick up the module and run with it in the future.

Moa Dragon initially worked with Avatus Kingsman and Chlorthos Dragon on this remake of Ultima 9, which was supposed to have been based on the Bob White Plot. There were two demo versions of the game released before the team split up and Moa kept up the project under the Neverwinter Nights engine and the name Eriadain: an RPG-Maker 1995 version and an RPG-Maker 2000 version.

* [drain file 13 url Demon Hak] ([drain file 43 size])
* CEP (not hosted locally)
This remake of Ultima 8, which is in no way related to the Ultima 8: Exile project, appeared on the Neverwinter Vault in August 2004 without any prior indication of its being worked on. The Red Mage appears to be making a faithful remake (nothing in the module seems to indicate that the Lost Vale will be making an appearence) of the game, and the module appears to have roughly half of Pagan mapped out.
The module requires Adam Miller’s Demon Hak to play, as well as the CEP and both official NWN Expansion Packs.

* TSSHP 0.2.10 (Win)

* SDL Graphics Library
While the link between System Shock and Ultima might seem…inobvious to many, it is actually less tenuous than it seems. One of the major similarities is the engines used by both games – it’s the same one. Oh, and apparently Warren Spector worked on System Shock 2.
Jim Cameron is working to reverse-engineer this rendering engine, and in doing so has put together a lot of technical information on the Underworld engine, and has also released an open-source version of it. Note that you’ll need the SDL Graphics Library to use it.
The project is now hosted through SourceForge, and development on it has resumed!

This was the first new remake to go public in 2005, and it died almost as quickly as it arose. This Morrowind-based project aimed to create a faithful remake of Ultima 5.
Kevin Fishburne, before the project website went offline, completed and released Littoral, an incredibly powerful terrain-generation utility for Morrowind that would have sped his development process along handily, had the project remained active. It is available for download.
